Our winterfest will be held in Feb. in Hornepayne and the Aqua Fit club will be launching a big losser contest. So far we have 10 men and 10 women. Hi Tammy - it sounds like you hooked up with a good thing at this gym - I think Christmas is always a challenging time as there are so many temptations. You go for a visit and the next thing you know there is great food and snacks all over the place! It's not always easy will power wise so in the end to answer your question about how everyone did over Christmas...I guess I gained a few but I'm back at Cardio Kickboxing and it will be off soon! Anyone else want to comment?

Hi everyone. I have 2 little ones to chase, 15 lbs (maybe a bit more but who's counting) to lose and very little time. I joined an unconventional gym (no mirrors or scales and it's in a warehouse) with the hopes of going there at lunch but there are always errands to run. At this gym they post a "workout of the day" on the wall and online if you want to follow at home. The exercises are fun, fast, and you feel it the next day.
How did everyone do with the Christmas meals? I think I gained a couple of pounds but they are off already.

Rolanda - that's great to hear that you are still keeping up the exercise program. As far as kickboxing goes that is the best overall workout that I have ever done - I was hooked from day 1 which was 12 years ago and have been going strong ever since.

Susan,

I was doing a cardio kickboxing video at my sisters before & after my trip & I loved it. The time flies by & it really give me the whole body workout, including the stretching & warm up, cool down. I was also thinking to join a class here to liven things up from my daily routine.

To answer your question Sue, I still do my workout 4 times a week but am planning to diversify to other programs. I have to until I can successfully reduce my weight as I consider a "diet" a four letter word; although I am reducing.

Well I definitely need to try something with a little less impact - right now I teach a cardio kickboxing class and that's a major workout but with old age setting in the addition of something easier sounds great. Water exercise has never been my thing...I don't like being seen in a bathing suit! But you never know maybe I will try it. Sue

My daughter said after having 2 children the ab circle was the thing for her. It didn't much for the hips but I did notice a great difference in firmnessespecial the luv handles.Of courses proper diet was part of the regime. She's also a great thread mill user so the combination of all got her back into shape. As I said earlier I love to exercise, especially outdoors.. I need a buddy and I abosolutely have to leave the house. Sue If you like the water try Aqua Fit ( water areobics )I think you'll enjoy it.

Welcome Ladies! It's great to see other women interested in diet and exercise information. There are so many web sites out there you never know which one to go to. Albena thanks for the information about the Ab circle - what were your daughters results? Did she lose it on her hips? Rolanda - happy to hear you were successful with your program. You were very dedicated and exercised quite a bit - have you slowed down at all? Sue

Hi gals,

I was very excited to see this group site as we have a new personal trainer & gym in Chapleau!!!! Another girl at the branch joined & I started going the last week of Oct in preparation for Hawaii trip & it really has paid off. I lost inches with her program & supplimental exercise 1 1/2 hours four to five times a week. I feel better & was able to purchased clothes one size smaller for my trip. The weight is coming off slowwer, but steady. My energy level is increasing & I no longer feel guilty if I sit & read a book at night instead of exercising.
