Northern was fortunate enough to host a booth at the Essar Centre on Wednesday, one of the many privileges we received as a Gold Sponsor of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

It was great. We gave away lots of Northern prizes and everyone had fun! Thanks to everyone who helped with the booth. The crowd at the Essar Centre certainly appreciated your spirit and we couldn't have asked for better Northern ambassadors!!!

I was able to take in some curling games this week. Just to see it live was amazing. I was very lucky to have my 79 year young mom drive from Timmins ON and join me. When I told her I had tickets to see it live she said nothing would stop her from coming and go with me. She very amazed and enjoyed everything about our outing.
Thank So Much

Have been watching the curling on TV as I was unable to go to the Soo.I'm amazed at the shots some of these young women can make. There are some women from our club that did get to go.I'm sure they will have lots to tell us when they get back

Went to the Opening Ceremonies and could not believe the transformation of the Essar Centre, wow and the atmosphere was great. It's obvious that people from across the country are crazy for curling, it's so nice to see!

Hey did you know that the Ford Hot Shot Playoffs and the Opening Ceremonies for the Scotties Tournament of Hearts is free to the public? I think that's a great experience for our city!

The individual draw tickets also will get you into the opening ceremonies, and the "hot shots" contest, which apparently follows.

Hey there!

I know that Rocks in your Socks packages are no longer available, but you can buy individual draw tickets starting at just $20 which is just as great!

Tickets can now be purchased in person at the Essar Centre Box Office, by phone at 866-775-9422 or online at www.seasonofchampions.ca.

It's great to watch the games live. I've had the opportunity to watch the Scotties in person and look forward to it every year now. I have been lucky to curl a few times at one of our local clubs with some of the ladies that participated in the Scotties a couple of years ago. That year the Scotties was held in Mississauga, Ontario and these ladies were curling out of the Copper Cliff Curling Club. If you have an opportunity to go watch a game or two I highly recommend it. You won't be dissappointed!

I'm also glad to see it come to the Sault.
Hope to be able to take in some games with fiends.
Perfect Christmas gift!
